I have always been a creative for as long as I can remember.  From winning a drawing competition in a women's magazine at junior school (where the first prize was £10, which was at one time something to be excited about) to getting my first work experience planning display boards in a large library.  I somehow knew what looked good where, what worked together colour and shape wise and the exact space it worked best in. This was recognised as something unusual for a youngster of my age, as my eagle eye never missed a thing, and my creative journey and interest continued.​

I was selected out of all the universities in the UK as an outstanding design student and exhibited in London, as well as working as a product designer in Hong Kong.   I used my design and communications skills, working within the areas of Press / PR / Marketing / Communication for large organisations and within the charity sector before relocating to the NE, as a single Mum with a young toddler almost 20 years ago.
